The Linux Foundation has released a short video that explains (in very high-level terms) the Linux kernel development process. It goes on to tout Linux as the dominating platform for smart phones, supercomputers, web commerce, and enterprise infrastructure.

Bash 4.0 Released Today

Version 4.0 of everyone's favorite shell program was released today. I imagine this will be showing up in new Linux distributions soon. A copy of the release announcement is here.

Interesting Story In The NYT

In my earlier post about the effect of the Asus Eee PC, I explained that it showed how Linux can be used to create "disruptive technologies." The New York Times seems to agree.
